Program Description
Event Details
Come wander the field and forest (or in this case the grounds around the library) for an introduction to the amazing flowers, shrubs, and trees growing right under your feet. Tina Nebergall, a long-time plant enthusiast, and forager, will lead the walk. Tina gives guided tours of the plants and other things that grow in the most ordinary places around the state and beyond. For this program she'll lead us right out the library doors and into the native plants growing right between our book drop and Eclipse Boulevard. We will not be harvesting any of the plants that we find, but we will learn to identify some plants, some of their possible uses, foraging etiquette, ethical harvesting, safety, and resources for further study. This introductory class is for all ages and experience levels.
