Event Details
This family-friendly event features a tour of the "Same Game Different Smokers" exhibit, followed by a discussion (talk-back) and refreshments. The exhibit brings together a collection of archival ads and images to explore the troubling relationship the tobacco industry has had with the Black Community over the last 400+ years. It also documents the tactics that the tobacco industry is using to help addict a new generation to its deadly products, including e-cigarettes. Commissioned by the African American Tobacco Control Leadership Council (AATLC), the exhibit originated in Oakland, California, and is touring Wisconsin. This traveling exhibit is presented by Youth2Youth 4 Change, Southwest Alliance for Tobacco Prevention, the Wisconsin African American Tobacco Prevention Network, and Bethel AME Church.
