Halloween Soiree

We're b a c k for our 2nd annual Soiree with all the best of last year plus some new surprises.  The biggest surprise is our guest speaker, Annelise Ryan (a pseudonym for Beth Amos)*, the USA Today bestselling author of 30 novels, including the Monster Hunter Mysteries featuring cryptozoologist and bookstore owner, Morgan Carter.  Morgan’s bookstore in Door County, WI is full of curiosities, and Morgan is often called on to investigate suspected cryptid activity with her scientific approach. Beth/Annelise is the perfect fit for our spooky, scary (not gory) evening filled with activities and treats. Beth will talk about “Becoming a Monster Hunter” and do a cryptid trivia game. We’ll have masquerade masks and mini pumpkins for you to decorate and take home.  There’ll be seasonal treats including mulled cider, pumpkin squares, and fizzy apple mocktails in champagne glasses.  Formal attire or costumes are optional!  Drop in any time or come for the whole event.  Beth will take the stage at 7:00 PM.

*Annelise Ryan is a pseudonym for Beth Amos, the Wisconsin-based author of the new Monster Hunter Mystery series, the first of which, A DEATH IN DOOR COUNTY, was released in September 2022. The second book in the series, DEATH IN THE DARK WOODS, came out in December of 2023 and book #3, BEAST OF THE NORTH WOODS was released earlier this year.
